Every other Wednesday, from September through April, high schoolers from Lucas CRC, other churches, and the community gather at Lucas CRC from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm.  Each year varies, but the group will range from twelve to thirty high schoolers.

The evening will start out with a short "business" meeting, followed by two to three games, then a Bible lessons.  the Bible lessons are specifically geared to high schoolers focusing on the issues and challenges they face in today's world.

The "business" portion consists of a short discussio n of planned fund raisers and future activities.  Fund raisers can be calendar sales, special dinners, sweatshirt sales, ect.  Each high schooler can use the money they earn to pay for special activities.

The special activities are a Mississippi trip, Winter Retreat and Youth Unlimited convention.

The Mississippi trip is a group of area high schoolers who travel to Port Gibson, Mississippi during spring break to work on homes of those less fortunate.

Winter Retreat is a weekend retreat in early January especially designed for high schoolers.  Participants are primarily from northern Michigan Christian Reformed Chruches, but teens from other churches are welcome and frequently come.  The retreat is usually held within an hour of McBain.  Nationally known speakers who are skilled in connecting with teens and their life / spiritual issues lead the sessions.

"Convention" is a gathering of Christian teens from across North America.  It is held every other year in various locations.  Convention is sponsored by Youth Unlimited, a nondenominational organization dedicated to Christian teens.  The Northern Michigan League of Youth Groups organizes registration and transportation
